The Townsville Science Fiction Club is headed by an Executive Committee comprising of 4 elected positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

The Chairperson is only nominated when the President or Vice President cannot chair the meeting. The position is called by the Secretary, and ratified by the majority.
Each position is entrusted with certain responsibilities:
President: The President shall preside over the monthly meetings, as Chairperson, and shall preside at the Executive Committee meetings.
Vice President: The Vice President shall perform the duties of the President in his or her absence, and shall co-ordinate all out of town activities.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall be responsible for managing the finances and bank account(s), and for preparing financial statements as required.
Secretary: The Secretary shall keep minutes of all Executive Committee meetings and of that portion of General Meetings which deals with formal business, and shall be responsible for official correspondence for the Club.
